Bruce brings more than four decades of experience in business management, optimal performance, team dynamics and artistic expression to everything he does. Through roles as diverse as CEO, business consultant, Stanford Business School faculty, team lead, educator, mentor, business developer, marketing strategist, and leadership coach, Bruce has gained valuable tools and lessons to help any organization become coherent, powerful, resilient and self-managing.
Principles he developed around the connection between coherence, health, performance, and leadership have been taught to executives at the business schools of Stanford, Columbia, University of California Berkeley, the International Center for Leadership in Finance, and Nanyang Polytechnic University in Singapore.

His dedication to building a coherent organization flourished while he was CEO at HeartMath, resulting in the company being awarded one of the Best Workplaces in the Bay Area for three consecutive years.

Bruce has worked with public and private sector organizations such as Stanford University, NASA, Kaiser Permanente, Mayo Clinic, Johnson & Johnson, The World Bank, Unilever, George Washington University, the NHS, Cathay Pacific Airways, Mandarin Oriental Hotels, and Yosemite National Park.


Bruce is now 14 years cancer-free, and 13 years dancing and hiking on titanium hips.


The Coherent Organization is based on a model for organizational performance developed by Bruce Cryer called Inner Quality Management.
