The best way to reduce your risk of compliance violations is to ensure there is a clear understanding and transparency in your policies and procedures and then routinely AUDIT enforcement. The Department of Labor regularly inspects employer records searching for a violation. And the possibility of the DOL finding a circumstance of non-compliance is great if you don’t ensure your policies are consistently complied with and enforced. Thus, the importance of internal audits!
During this 60 minute webinar, expert Somer Jefferiss will cover best practices in wage and hour compliance. From what the regulations say and mean, to identifying internal policies, to enforcing those policies, we’ll do a thorough review of employer requirements. We’ll then review how to best audit – and improve – your labor management practices on a regular basis.
Finally, to make the session truly worthwhile, we’ll cover what you need to do regarding risk management. Who has access? What does the audit show? And how to address concerns in meaningful and impactful ways. In doing so, we’ll review some specific regulations and use cases to drive home the importance of regular internal audits.
