Dr. Halim is an executive and an internationally-recognized KOL with 25+ years of experience in different aspects of biomarkers and IVD; strategic planning, biomarker discovery, assay development and validation, clinical qualification, regulations, and applications in the standard-of-care and drug industry. He is the president of Biomarkers and Diagnostics Consulting (www.biomarkerconsult.com) providing consultations and services to pharma, biotech, IVD, and clinical labs. Abdel has served on 20+ governmental and public expert panels and advisory boards in the US, Canada, and EU. Dr. Halim held multiple leadership positions in the pharmaceutical, clinical laboratories, and diagnostic industries. He oversaw the development and validation of assays for several hundreds of biomarkers on different platforms and their applications in 200+ PI-PIV clinical trials and patient management. Abdel has led 7 CDx programs and has track records for 5 FDA 510K approvals of high complexity IVD and 2 drug approvals. Dr. Halim has served on 25+ committees to establish guidelines to promote quality in the clinical laboratory and diagnostic industries.
