Deborah Shigley founded Shigley Solutions, LLC. after 30 years of experience as a Human Resources generalist, first in manufacturing followed by 27 years as HR Director at Cornell University. At Cornell, Deb managed the compensation, performance management, employee relations, training and development, and recruitment and staffing functions for the Research Division. Deb provides updates and workshops focusing on small business owners and not for profits, she also serves as faculty for SHRM providing workshops. Deb received her Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management from the Empire State College in Saratoga Springs, NY. Deb is certified as SHRM – SCP and through HRCI as SPHR. Deb currently serves as the Program Chair for the NYS SHRM Conference after completing 3 years as Director of the NYS SHRM. Deb was awarded the HR Champion Award in 2012 for exceptional service to the Human Resources Community and the SHRM-TC chapter.
