Vincent Jaeger, M.D. For 9 years, Dr. Vincent Jaeger was a family practitioner before entering Managed Care where for 10 years he was National Head of the Department of Medical Policy, Coverage and Reimbursement at Aetna. In that role, he was responsible for determining whether or not new medical technologies should or should not be covered and paid for by Aetna according to the principles of evidence-based medicine. These technologies included medical devices, medical and surgical procedures, injectable medications, services, and supplies. In 2010 to present, he left Managed Care and established his own company where he achieved national recognition as a consultant specializing in reimbursement strategies to help manufacturers in obtaining reimbursement (i.e., coding coverage and payment) for their newly developed medical devices. He also provides assistance in gaining new HCPCS and CPT codes, designing appropriate clinical trials to ensure coverage and in formulating proper payment for those professionals who administer care to patients.
