The accounting profession is undergoing a fundamental shift as technology continues to drive innovation in how financial information is managed, analyzed, and communicated. Generative AI, one of the most transformative technologies of the decade, has the potential to revolutionize accounting and finance, creating new efficiencies and opportunities for CPAs. This session is designed to help accounting professionals understand and harness the power of generative AI to elevate their practice, streamline workflows, and provide higher-value advisory services.

The session will start by demystifying generative AI, providing participants with a clear understanding of what it is, how it works, and its current applications in accounting and finance. We’ll explore real-world use cases where AI-driven systems are being used to generate financial statements, create audit workpapers, automate tax analysis, and perform data entry with minimal human intervention. These examples will highlight how CPAs can reduce time spent on repetitive, low-value tasks and redirect their focus toward more strategic activities.

One key focus of the session will be AI’s role in financial analysis and decision-making. We’ll demonstrate how AI-powered models can generate predictive insights, such as cash flow forecasts, risk assessments, and tax planning recommendations, based on historical data and current market conditions. CPAs will learn how to interpret AI-generated insights to guide clients and businesses in making informed decisions while enhancing their role as trusted advisors.

Additionally, the session will address the ethical and regulatory considerations of integrating generative AI into accounting processes. As financial regulators begin to explore how AI impacts audit standards, financial reporting, and data privacy, CPAs need to be prepared to implement AI in a responsible and compliant manner. Participants will gain an understanding of AI-related risks, including model bias, data security concerns, and overreliance on automated systems, and learn best practices for mitigating these challenges.

To help CPAs apply their knowledge, the session will include a practical demonstration of popular AI tools and platforms that can be seamlessly integrated into accounting workflows. We will discuss AI-powered document generation tools, financial analysis software, and tax planning applications, giving participants hands-on insights into how they can implement these solutions in their practice.
shaping the crypto landscape, including regulatory developments, institutional adoption, and the ongoing evolution of blockchain technology. As financial regulators continue to update guidance, CPAs who stay informed will be well-positioned to anticipate changes and help their clients mitigate risks while maximizing tax-saving opportunities

  • Identify areas within their practice where generative AI can drive efficiency
  • Use AI-generated reports, financial forecasts, and predictive analyses to enhance client advisory services
  • Maintain ethical and regulatory compliance while leveraging AI technology
  • Understand how to collaborate with AI tools without losing the critical thinking and judgment that define the CPA profession

Who Should Attend

All CPAs but especially those that work in auditing or financial reporting circles

Why Should You Attend

As the accounting profession continues to evolve, generative AI is emerging as a powerful tool that has the potential to revolutionize how CPAs approach their work. From automating routine tasks to enhancing decision-making with predictive insights, this technology is reshaping workflows and creating new opportunities for professionals to deliver strategic value. Attending a session on generative AI is essential for CPAs who want to remain competitive and maximize their efficiency in a rapidly changing landscape.

Generative AI can significantly enhance productivity by automating time-consuming tasks like data entry, financial reconciliations, and report generation. With AI models capable of generating financial summaries, drafting audit memos, and identifying anomalies in transactions, CPAs can focus their efforts on higher-level functions, such as strategic advisory and decision-making.

Additionally, AI tools offer predictive analytics that help CPAs anticipate financial risks, optimize tax strategies, and support clients in forecasting future outcomes. These predictive capabilities can improve accuracy in areas such as budgeting, cash flow projections, and compliance risk assessment.

Moreover, as regulatory bodies begin to evaluate AI’s role in audits and financial reporting, CPAs need to understand how to ethically and effectively incorporate this technology while maintaining compliance and audit integrity. Attending a session on generative AI will provide CPAs with the knowledge to implement AI responsibly and capitalize on its benefits while mitigating risks.

Ultimately, this session will empower CPAs to remain at the forefront of innovation, positioning them as strategic advisors who can deliver greater value in today’s AI-driven business environment.
